About Me

I am a lecturer in philosophy at Queen's University Belfast.  I did my undergraduate degree at Duke University and my postgraduate work at the University of St. Andrews.  I completed my MLitt in 2002 and my PhD in 2005.  From 2005-07 I was the Gifford Research Fellow (postdoc) at St. Andrews.  I have been at Queen's since 2007.

Research Interests

I work in metaphysics and  philosophy of religion/philosophical theology.  With respect to the former, I am especially interested in time, space, properties, events, persons, and the metaphysical implications of theism.  With respect to the latter, I am especially interested in divine eternity, freedom and foreknowledge, and theological anthropology.

For the academic year 2011-12 I held an Oxford Templeton Research Fellowship at Hertford College, University of Oxford.
